One Hope interns are college aged girls and guys who are following the Lord and are seeking to learn more about urban missions by spending their summer in an urban context.
Interns have the opportunity to be involved in all the ministries of One Hope and Springs of Grace Bible Church. This includes all kinds of ministry to people of all ages and from all backgrounds. Interns spend most of their time working with youth, children, and families through tutoring and sports ministries in the inner city and through children and youth programs at Springs of Grace. However, One Hope is always expanding the ministries we do and the ways in which we do them; so, if you have an idea, you will likely get the chance to test it out.
Interns are given the opportunity to do hands on ministry in Project 61 sports camps and getAHEAD tutoring programs, gaining many practical skills involved in urban ministry. They are taught a framework for developing a Biblical foundation for urban ministry. One Hope seeks to birth and/or fan the flame of passion for God-centered urban ministry in the context of Christ-centered, biblically saturated church life. The intern program aims intentionally to instill a life commitment to live for great causes not the next great comfort.
