One Hope's Urban Ministry Conference

July 17th-18th, 2026

About the Conference

Join us July 17-18th at One Hope’s annual Urban Ministry Conference, a gathering designed to equip ministry leaders and volunteers. The theme "Bless the Block" is based on Jeremiah's exhortation to the exiles.  Life as exiles in this world means God often has us in places that are difficult, facing challenges that feel overwhelming. In the midst of this brokenness comes a challenge from the prophet Jeremiah: tie our own flourishing to the flourishing of our neighbors. Join us as we explore the heart and the how of ministry to the neighborhood.

Main Speakers

Keynote speaker Thabiti Anyabwile pastors Anacostia River Church in Washington DC and is a founding member of the Crete Collective, which is devoted to establishing gospel-driven churches in distressed and neglected Black and Brown neighborhoods. Kristie Anyabwile is a Bible teacher, author, and passionate advocate for Bible literacy. Her books and Bible studies are all about equipping believers to engage Scripture and to faithfully live out its teachings. The Anyabwiles will share from Scripture and experience about how a church’s neighborhood is more than a mission field, it’s to be our home.

Breakout Sessions

Breakout speakers will also share practical experience and tools for effective, sustained, and faithful ministry in overlooked neighborhoods. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with other local leaders, learn from seasoned speakers, and be encouraged to work for the well-being of your neighborhood. Information about our breakout sessions is still to come!
